Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C. is for issuance of a direction to the respondents to register criminal cases under certain Sections of the IPC against certain persons as mentioned in the head note of the petition and to get the matter investigated from a police officer not below the rank of Superintendent of Police.
At the very outset learned counsel states that he does not press this petition on merits but prays that a direction be issued to respondent No.2 to decide his complaint/representation Annexure P-6 within any reasonable time.
I find this to be a fair request.

Resultantly this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 i.e. Commissioner of Police, Amritsar to look into the matter and take whatever action he deems necessary on the complaint/representation Annexure P-6 of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
Since the main case has been decided, the pending Criminal Misc. Application, if any, also stands disposed of.
