life and liberty of the petitioners from respondents No. 4 to 8.

The petitioners have got married against the wishes of their parents. They are stated to be major. Petitioner No.1 is not in possession of any proof of her age and in support thereof has placed on record her duly sworn affidavit (Annexure P-1) wherein her date of birth is written as 16.06.1994. Petitioner No.2 in support of his age proof has placed on record extract of his Matriculation Examination Certificate (Annexure P-2) wherein his date of birth is depicted as 10.08.1991. Petitioner No.1 has

already moved a representation before the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana for protecting her life and liberty and that of her husband viz. petitioner No.2 at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 8. Copy of the representation is annexed as Annexure P-5.

Without adverting to the merits of the controversy, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to take an appropriate action on the said representation.

Since the main case has been decided, the pending Criminal Misc. Application, if any, also stands disposed of.

A copy of this order be given dasti to learned counsel for the petitioners on payment of usual charges.
