Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C. is for issuance of a direction to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners and not to harass them at the instance of respondent Nos.4 to 12.

The petitioners have got married against the wishes of their parents. They are stated to be major. In support of her proof of age petitioner No.1 has placed on record a copy of Fifth Standard Examination Certificate (Annexure P-1) wherein her date of birth is mentioned as 21.09.1988 whereas petitioner No.2 has placed on record a copy of Voter Identity Card (Annexure P-2) depicting his age as 20 years as on

01.01.2004. They have also moved a representation before the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Annexure P-5) for protection of their life and liberty.

Without adverting to the merits of the controversy, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar to take appropriate action on the said representation (Annexures P-5).

Since the main case has been decided, the pending Criminal Misc. Application, if any, also stands disposed of.

A copy of this order be given dasti to learned counsel for the petitioners on payment of usual charges.
