In this case service on the private respondents is yet to be effected. On 01.11.2011 learned counsel for the petitioners sought time to find out the particulars of the private respondents so that service could be effected upon them and the matter was adjourned to 09.1.2012.
The matter is hanging since 1996. The prayer in this petition is with regard to a direction for quashing the seniority lists, which would adversely effect the private respondents.

It is informed by the learned counsel for the parties that both the petitioners and private respondents, who are employees of respondent No. 1-Electricity Board have since retired.
It seems that since no cause survives in this petition, therefore, the petitioners are not interested to pursue this petition.
This petition is, therefore, dismissed on the lapse on the
part of the petitioners for non-furnishing the particulars of the private respondents for such a long time.
