The petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste and had done her M.B.B.S. Degree from Pt.B.D.Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak. Petitioner relies on a circular dated 8.7.1981 making reservation of 20% seats in Educational, Technical and Professional Institutes. In May, 2002, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra issued prospectus for admission to the Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses. Reference is made to another circular issued on 19.3.1999. The petitioner made representation and sought admission. Respondents produced a letter from MCI dated 2.8.1977 that there shall be no reservation for the Post Graduate Courses.
The prayer for admission, which was made in the year 2002, would not survive at this stage. This writ petition was admitted on 29.4.2003 and was ordered to be heard within six months. With the efflux of time, no effective relief can be granted to the petitioner. The petition obviously is rendered infructuous and is dismissed as such.
