The petitioner had applied for admission in the Diploma Course in Education O.T.(Hindi) in the year 2002. He had applied for this admission in the reserved category of Ex-servicemen. 1% seats were reserved for Ex-servicemen. Thus, 4 seats were available against this quota. As per the petitioner, only 3 persons had been selected. The petitioner was placed in the waiting list. The petitioner has calculated 4 seats on the basis of 1% reservation, which fact, however, may not be borne out from the facts on record.
This writ petition was admitted on 29.7.2002 and was directed to be heard within a period of six months. The course of one year as such, for which the application was made in the year 2002, is over long ago. At this stage, no effective relief can be granted to the petitioner.
The writ petition has become infructuous by efflux of time
and is dismissed accordingly.
