The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of Certiorari quashing the letter dated 1.8.1994 (Annexure P-6) vide which the provisional migration of the petitioners was cancelled by respondent no.2 from Guru Nanak Dev Homeopathic Medical College, Ludhiana respondent no.4 to Lord Mahavira Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana and they have been directed to attend classes in their college.

The writ petition was admitted for hearing on 11.8.1994 and no interim order was passed. Counsel for the petitioners was also unable to tell this Court as to whether the petitioners have completed their course or not in respondent no.4 college. The writ petition has thus been rendered infructuous by sheer efflux of time as the petitioners would have completed their course by now in their colleges which was of four years duration.
