The present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been filed for quashing the FIR No.103 dated 7.10.2012 (Annexure P-1), registered under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, at Police Station Balachaur, District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of the compromise Annexure P-2, reached between the parties.

Parties are present in person. In pursuance of the order dated 9.11.2012, passed by this Court, the complainant, duly identified by his counsel, has filed his affidavit dated 5.12.2012, which is taken on record. In the affidavit, the complainant has admitted the factum of compromise.

In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served in continuing the proceedings. Accordingly, this petition is allowed andFIR No.103 dated 7.10.2012 (Annexure P-1), registered under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, at Police Station Balachaur, District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed qua the petitioner.
