of the land that was purchased was sanctioned in their favour. From the said khewat, Major Singh son of Piara Singh had also purchased 9 kanals of land. Since the purchase of land, they were in possession of the same and cultivating it. Earlier the said land was being cultivated by Binder Singh (respondent No.3) son of Major Singh on share basis. On account of purchasing the said land by the complainant side, Binder Singh (respondent No.3) started quarreling with them and litigation with respect to the same had been pending in the Courts at Bathinda. The parties were directed to maintain status quo regarding the said land, Bajra crop has been sown in the land. It is alleged by the complainant (Surjit Singh) that on 18.08.2010 at about 3.00 p.m., he alongwith his brothers Jagsir Singh and Gurdeep Singh sons of Gulzar Singh; besides, Avtar Singh son of Sukhdev Singh, residents of village Goniana Khurd and their relative Jagmit Singh son of Ajaib Singh, resident of village Kauni, were working in the fields. All of a sudden a light green colour jeep with a small body came from the side of village Goniana Kalan, which was being driven by Ramandeep Singh @ Harry (respondent No.5). Rakesh Singh @ Raji (respondent No.2) as also Rajinder Singh @ Dear (respondent No.4) were travelling in the same. The said jeep was being followed by a yellow colour Tractor-3511, which was being driven by Binder Singh (respondent No.3) and on both the mud guards of the said tractor, Jagdev Singh (respondent No.7) and Iqbal Singh (Proclaimed Offender) were sitting. Cultivators were attached with the tractor. Another red colour Tractor-3511 was also seen coming behind the tractor of Binder Singh (respondent No.3),
