Petitioners seek the quashing of FIR No.202 dated 23.10.2010, under Sections 323, 324 and 326/34 IPC, Police Station, Beas, District Amritsar, registered at the instance of respondent No.2 Suirjit Singh, alleging that the petitioners had assaulted the complainant Surjit Singh. The matter having been compromised between the parties, the parties were directed to appear before the Ilaqua Magistrate for getting their statements recorded. A report has been received from the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Baba Bakala, that complainant Surjit Singh has entered into a compromise with the petitioners.
In view of above circumstances, following the judgment in case Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab, 2007(3) RCR (Crl.), Page-1052, the above said FIR and all the criminal proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed on the basis of compromise.
Disposed of.
