Petitioner is an aspirant for recruitment to the post of Ayurvedic Medical Officer advertised vide public notice dated 21.1.2011 (P.3) by the State of Punjab. She is being considered as ineligible as upper age fixed is 37 years and the petitioner is admittedly 39 years of age. She seeks relaxation on the ground that the Government in the case of widows is relaxing the condition of age.
On the last date of hearing, Ms. Charu Tulli, Sr. DAG, Punjab was directed to seek instructions in this regard.

At the time of hearing today, Ms. Charu Tulli, Sr. DAG, Punjab, on instructions from Sh. Satish Kumar, Superintendent, Office of Director, Health Services, Punjab, states that the Government is in the process of issuing a corrigendum to the advertisement (P.3) whereby the age for widows, like the petitioner would be relaxed uptill 40 years of age and thus making the petitioner eligible.
In view of the statement made by learned state counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press this petition at this stage.
Dismissed as not pressed.
