Present contempt petition has been filed under Section 12 read with 2(b) of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 to summon and punish the respondent for not obeying the order dated 27.07.2009(P-2) passed by this Court.
Mr. Sahu has filed a reply by way of affidavit of Mr. Parampal Singh Sidhu, IPS Commissioner of Police, Amritsar City dated 29.1.2011, taken on record.
Learned counsel for the respondent submits that in view of the contents of the aforesaid affidavit especially that of para 7 wherein it is stated that after thorough investigation FIR No.04 dated 08.01.2011 under

Sections 498-A/406 IPC has been registered against the husband(Harkanwal Singh) of the petitioner and her father in-law(Kulwant Singh) and case is under investigation.
In view of the aforesaid stand of the respondents, nothing survives in the instant COCP.
Disposed of as infructuous.
