No one had appeared for the petitioner when the case was called in the morning. The case is called second time at 2.15 P.M. None has appeared to make submissions on behalf of the petitioner.
The prayer made in the petition is for transfer of investigation in FIR No.224 dated 2.8.2010, registered under Section 420/467/471/448/120 B IPC, at Police Station Sadar, Amritsar, to the Crime Branch.
Mr. Jattana appearing for the State points out that the cancellation report has been prepared and is being filed in this case.
It appears that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting this petition. In any event, the petitioner would have a right to contest the cancellation report if filed. Still if the petitioner feels aggrieved, he has equally efficacious remedy of filing the complaint. No case for transferring the investigation to the Crime Branch is made out.
Dismissed.
