The petitioner seeks grant of regular bail in case FIR No. 18 dated 20.01.2010, registered under Sections 302, 307, 506, 148 & 149 IPC and 25 & 27 of Arms Act at Police Station Jagraon Distt. Ludhiana.
On 03.10.2011, the following contention was noticed:-
"Learned Senior counsel has argued that the allegation against the petitioner is of having a fire arm which was, however, not used. Two of the co-accused have already been granted bail and the only distinction with their case is that they were not armed and the petitioner has now been in custody since 01.02.2011. Further the trial is not likely to conclude in the near future."
Learned counsel for the respondent-State, on instructions of Head Constable Jasmeet Singh, has accepted the factual assertion.
In these circumstances, without commenting on the merits of the case, I deem it appropriate to grant the concession of regular bail to the petitioner. Bail to the satisfaction of the trial Court.
Petition stands disposed of.
