The couple, Reetika and Raman Preet Singh, is on the run after tying the nuptial knot against the wishes of their parents and have moved this Court seeking protection from the Police as they apprehend danger to their lives.
Learned counsel for the petitioners has stated that the petitioners have moved representation (Annexure P-5) before the Police authorities to seek protection.
Notice of motion. Mr. Sudhir Nehra, Additional Advocate General, Punjab appears on behalf of State of Punjab.
In this view of the matter, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Khanna is directed to look into representation (Annexure P-5) and if there is any substance in it, may proceed further, in accordance with law.
Disposed of accordingly.
