Prayer in this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for seeking protection to life and liberty of both the petitioners, who claim themselves to be major and allegedly performed marriage on 17.1.2011 against the wishes of relatives (respondent Nos.4 to 6) of petitioner No.1-wife. Having performed the marriage against the wishes of aforesaid respondents, now petitioners apprehend threat to their life at the hands of said respondents.
Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners have submitted a representation dated 17.1.2011 (Annexure P-5) to the Sr. Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana, but nothing was done.
Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits

of the case, Sr. Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana-respondent No.2 is directed to look into the representation (Annexure P-5) made by the petitioners and if required, necessary protection be provided to the petitioners.
