Through this writ petition, challenge was posed to the Order dated 02.06.1989 (Annexure-P-2), vide which the petitioner was reverted from the post of Social Education and Panchayat Officer to his substantive post of Gram Sachiv. The Order of reversion was stayed by this Court, vide Order dated 14.06.1989. The said Order was confirmed by this Court, vide Order dated 25.08.1989.
None has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner.
Counsel for the respondents has informed the Court that the petitioner had been promoted, during the pendency of the writ petition, to the post of Block Development and Panchayat Officer on 26.04.1999. Thereafter, he had superannuated as Block Development Officer with effect from 30.11.2006.
In view of the above, the present writ petition has been rendered
infructuous.
Ordered accordingly.
