Jasbir Kaur Vs State of Punjab and Ors.

(1). The petitioner who is a retired SS Mistress from the Education Department, Government of Punjab seeks a direction to the respondents to count the ad hoc service rendered by her for the purposes of determination of her pensionary benefits.

(2). It is averred that similar relief has already been granted by this Court in various cases.

(3). In this regard, the petitioner is said to have served a legal notice dated 05.03.2010 (Annexure P4) upon the respondents but there is no response to the same.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and considering the nature of relief sought in this writ petition, I deem it appropriate to dispose of the same with a direction to the respondents to take cognizance of the aforesaid legal notice served on behalf of the petitioner and redress her grievance by passing a speaking order in accordance with the law/Rules within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
