This is a petition under section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of FIR No.44 dated 29.3.2008 registered under sections 376/363/367/506/34 IPC at police station Khuian Sarwar, District Ferozepur (Annexure P-1).
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is ready to surrender before the trial court and face trial. He, however, prays that some protection be afforded to the petitioner and trial court be directed to conclude the trial expeditiously.
Under the circumstances, it is directed that in case the petitioner appears before the trial court within 10 days from today and applies for regular bail, his plea shall be decided within a week thereafter. Arrest of the petitioner shall remain stayed till the decision of his bail application. The trial court shall endeavour to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible.
