The present appeal has been filed challenging the order dated 25.2.2005 passed by Election Tribunal, Kapurthala dismissing the election petition of the appellant. The said election under challenge was held in the year 2003 for the post of Sarpanch. The term of Sarpanch is five years. The five years has since lapsed. The next election for the post of Sarpanch were subsequently held in the year 2008.
The appeal is, therefore, infructuous and dismissed as such. However, in case the appellant has contrary submission with respect to the above facts, the appellant is free to move an application to set aside and for racalling of this order.
