During the course of hearing, counsel for the petitioners has pointed out that since petitioners No.1 to 3, 5, 7 and 8 have been promoted to the post of Clerk, therefore, the prayer made in this petition qua these petitioners has become infructuous. He further points out that as far as petitioners No.4 and 6 are concerned, at present, the promotion quota post of Clerk is not available for them. In this regard, counsel for respondent No.2 states that as and when the promotion quota post of Clerk becomes available, claim of petitioners No.4 and 6 for promotion will be considered
