Learned counsel for the petitioner do not press the petition at this stage. However, he prays for expeditious trial. He has contended that the petitioner is in custody since 7.12.2006 and not even a single witness has been examined so far.
So, the prosecution is directed to conclude the trial within six months from the next date. However, in case the said prosecution evidence is not concluded within that period, the petitioner shall be released on bail.
The petition stands disposed of.
