The parties have arrived at a compromise. Draft No. 002411 dated 6.1.2009, amounting to Rs.3,25,000/- drawn on HDFC Bank has been handed over to counsel for Manpreet Kaur – complainant. Remaining amount of Rs.3,25,000/- is to be paid at the time of granting of decree of divorce. The petitioner shall file quashing petition in which complainant shall fully cooperate to get the quashing by the High Court. It is further settled that custody of the child shall remain with the petitioner. Parties shall file divorce petition by mutual consent and that shall be decided with the consent of the parties.

So, in these circumstances, since the matter has been settled,
the order dated 3.12.2008, passed by this Court, is made absolute.
The parties shall be bound by the observations made above.
