vs.
State of Haryana
.................Respondent
Coram: Hon'ble Mr. Justice K.C. Puri
Present: Sh. Vikram Singh, Advocate for the petitioner.
Sh. Neeraj Bhutani, Assistant Advocate General, Haryana.
K.C. Puri, J. (Oral)
As per allegation of the prosecution, a complaint was received that Sher Singh, Sarpanch, Anil, Dilbagh, Krishan, Sampat, Rani – Panches and Ranbir Singh, Gram Secretary, Block Rai, in collution with each other and in collusion with Pooja Building Material Supplier and Surya Building Material Supplier have embezzled an amount of Rs.3,80,90,000/-.
As per assessment made by the BDPO, Rs. 1,05,00,000/- has been stated to be paid to the petitioner for the purchase of material, but no material is stated to have been supplied to the Gram Panchayat. The gravity of offence does not make out a case for grant of anticipatory bail, as the custodial interrogation is required.
Consequently, the petition stands dismissed.
