The parties to the impugned prosecution i.e. petitioners and respondent No.2 have compounded the offences and have placed on record documented compromise, which may be read as Annexure P-4. Petitioner Nos.1, 2, 3 and 5 and respondent No.2, are present in the Court and are identified by their respective counsel. Petitioner No.4, who is not present in Court, is wife of petitioner No.3. They own up the compounding. They further state that presently there is no dispute subsisting between them. Their joint statement has also been recorded separately.
In the larger interest of the society and to enable the parties to maintain cordial relations, the petition shall stand allowed and Criminal Complaint No.152 of 2003 titled as `Jagdish Chhabra Vs. Bimla Rani and others', under Sections 307, 326, 452, 427, 356, 323, 511, 148, 149 IPC, P.S. Division No.7, pending in the Court of Shri B.S.Sandhu, Additional Sessions Judge, Jalandhar (Annexure P-1) and all the subsequent proceedings initiated thereunder, shall stand quashed on account of compounding.
Disposed of accordingly.
