Mamta and Baljinder Singh-petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 3 to protect their life and liberty from the hands of respondent No.4.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the marriage of the petitioners was solemnized on 18.5.2009. Certificate (Annexure P-4) in this regard has been issued by Crl.Misc.No.M- 13986 of 2009 (O&M) -2-

submitted that the petitioners have moved a representation to Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib ( Annexure P-5) but no action has been taken so far.

Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahibrespondent No.2 is directed to look into the representation made by the petitioners (Annexure P-5) and if required, necessary protection be provided to them.
