This is a petition seeking concession of anticipatory bail in a case registered against the petitioner under Section 306 read with Section 34 IPC at Police Station Dakha, District Ludhiana (City), vide FIR No.46 dated 31st March, 2009.
The FIR was lodged by Manjit Kaur Sangha who is paternal aunt of the petitioner. The complainant alleged in the FIR that her father Ujagar Singh and mother Bachan Kaur had committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance. The complainant alleged that her brother Major Singh and his son Harjinder Singh (petitioner) used to harass her parents after taking liquor and used to pester them for transferring the entire property in their names. They even subjected the deceased to physical beatings.
It is evident that the complainant lodged the FIR against her

own brother and his son due to alleged harassment caused to her parents by them, which ultimately resulted in their committing suicide. The FIR under Section 306/34 IPC was registered as a result of these serious allegations.
I am of the considered view that considering the allegations levelled in the FIR and the nature of offence alleged, the petitioner is not entitled to the concession of anticipatory bail.
I thus find no merit in this petition. The same is hereby
dismissed.
