This is a petition for quashing FIR No. 202 dated 26.6.2008 under Sections 324/326/148/149 IPC, registered at P.S. Division No.6 Jalandhar, on the basis of compromise.

Counsel for the petitioners, as well as, complainant have stated at the Bar that another FIR No. 289 dated 22.8.2008 under Sections 324, 323, 325, 326, 148, 149 IPC has been registered at P.S.

Division No.6, Jalandhar, at the instance of Ashwani Kumar – accused in the present case and Crl.M.No. M-1064 of 2009 has been filed on the basis of compromise and that that petition has been accepted today by this Court.

The original compromise has been placed on the file. Affidavit of the complainant has also been filed in Court, who is also present in Court and is identified by Sh. Jatinder Singh, Advocate. The matter involved is personal in nature. The other case is stated to have been settled on the basis of compromise, by this Court.

So, in these circumstances and in view of authority reported as Kulwinder Singh and others vs. State of Punjab and others 2007 (3) RCR (Criminal) 1052, FIR No. 202 dated 26.6.2008 under Sections 324/326/148/149 IPC, registered at P.S. Division No.6 Jalandhar, stands quashed. Further proceedings, in pursuant to that FIR also stand quashed.
