The grievance in this writ petition filed in public interest relates to the billing pattern adopted by the respondents. The respondents are sending bills to the consumers every two months at the stipulated rates for consumption of electricity and water. The petitioners complains that some errors are being committed while raising such bills. We do not think that the present proceedings are suited for that kind of controversy being raised in a petition invoking our extra ordinary jurisdiction in public interest. The petitioners can take up the matter with the authorities concerned or seek redress of his grievance, in an appropriate civil action, if otherwise permissible in law.
Dismissed.
No costs.
