Petitioner Daljinder Kaur, who is Panch of Gram Panchayat village Bure Majra, Block Bhunerheri, Tehsil and District Patiala, has filed this petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for setting aside the order dated 22.7.2008 (Annexure P-5), whereby the application filed by her for stay of election of Sarpanch of the aforesaid Gram Panchayat has been dismissed.
During the course of hearing, counsel for the petitioner states that in view of the Division Bench decision of this Court in Sham Lal v. State Election Commission, Punjab, 1997 (1) RCR (Civil) 82, he does not want to press this petition.
Dismissed as not pressed.
