on behalf of the petitioners; Mr. M. N. H. Khan, learned SC (1), along with Ms. Babita Kumari, learned AC to SC 1 for the State and Mr. Ritesh Kumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Lalit Narayan Mithila University.

The petitioners in paragraph no. 1 of the present writ petition have sought inter alia the following relief(s), which is reproduced hereinafter:-

“ (i) Issuance of an order, direction or writ in nature of Mandamus directing the respondent authorities to make the payment to the petitioners of their arrears of salary in the Scale of 700-1600 from the date of their initial appointment till date and thereafter make payment to the petitioners of their current salary on month to month basis.

(ii) Issuance of an order, direction or writ in nature of Mandamus directing the university to grant promotion to the petitioners from the post of lecturer (Assistant Professor) to the post of Associate Professor and thereafter to the post of Professor in terms with statue notified on 14.09.1992 for the purpose of grant of time bond promotion to the teaching staff of Affiliated Colleges in the State of Bihar.

(iii) Issuance of an order, direction or writ in nature of Mandamus to direct the respondent to grant post retrial benefits to the petitioners upon their superannuation under the provisions as contained in Governors Secretariat Letter No. BSU47/2013-93 GS (1) dated 15/01/2014 along with other consequential reliefs.

(iv) Any other relief or reliefs as the petitioners may be found entitled to in the facts and circumstances of the case.”

remedy before the Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Government of Bihar for redressal of their grievances and reliefs, as prayed for in the present writ petition.

Considering the desire of the petitioners, the petitioners, if so advised, may file a fresh detailed representation before the Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, before whom they have already filed a representation on 10.03.2025, by clarifying their position, so that they may not remain aggrieved in any manner.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
