Heard Mr. Brajesh Kumar Singh, learned counsel for

the petitioner, Ms. Tooba Hera, learned counsel for the informant and Ms. Sharda Kumari, learned APP for the State.

The petitioner has prayed for bail in connection with Gopalganj P.S. Case No. 779 of 2024 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 118(1), 109 and 352 of B.N.S.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner has assaulted with knife to the brother of the informant, namely, Abhishek Sharma on various parts of body.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that petitioner is innocent and has

committed no offence. He has been falsely implicated in this case. From perusal of the injury report which is Annexure-P/3, it is apparent that the victim has received eight incised wounds but the nature of injury is simple. Petitioner is having no criminal antecedent and he is languishing in judicial custody since 27.05.2025.

Learned APP appearing for the State and learned counsel for the informant have vehemently opposed the application for bail. Learned counsel for the informant has submitted that petitioner has caused eight incised wounds on the person of Abhishek Sharma which shows his intention.

Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and considering the nature of allegation, this court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage and, as such, his prayer for bail stands rejected.

Petitioner is at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after completing one year of incarceration.
