The present writ petition has been filed seeking the
following reliefs :-
(i) For issuance of a writ in the nature of direction to the respondents to make payment of admitted dues of Rs. 3,68,373 (Rs. three lakhs sixty eight thousand and three hundred seventy two only) out of total amount of Rs. 4,71,012/- according to measurement book with appropriate interest to the laborers who have already worked under MANREGA YOJNA.
(ii) For issuance of further writ in the nature of direction to respondent No.1 (Collector) asking him to show cause as to why the

concerned authority could not made payment even after Nine years, although it is admitted dues of the laborers who worked under the guidance of the petitioner, the then Member of Panchayat Samittee.
After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies, as are otherwise available under the law. Liberty so sought, is granted.
The writ petition stands disposed off as not pressed.
