The petitioner is in custody since 08.06.2022 in connection with Bidupur P.S. Case No. 229 of 2022 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 376(D) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 6 of the POCSO Act.
Considering the gravity of offence and the nature of allegations levelled against the petitioner and taking into consideration the statement of the victim girl recorded under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. and also the Medical Report, the prayer for the bail of the petitioner is rejected.
However, trial Court is directed to expedite the trial.
