The present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents to revise the pension and gratuity of the petitioner herein in light of the Rule framed by the State Government vide Resolution No. 27/Pay-Ko-137/2008, 820 dated 23.9.2009.
The learned counsel for the respondents, referring to the counter affidavit, has submitted that the Accountant General has already been requested for taking action for revision of pension and gratuity and making payment thereof.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the

case, the respondents are directed to ensure revision of pension and gratuity in accordance with law and thereafter, make payment of the arrears accordingly.
It is made clear that the entire exercise should be completed within a period of eight weeks from today, failing which the Principal Secretary, Rural Works Department, Bihar, Patna shall not draw his salary.
The writ petition stands disposed of on the aforesaid
terms.
