In the year 2003, an order was passed by the SubDivisional Magistrate in Case No. 60 of 2002 (Lallan Singh vs. Keso Singh) granting state protection to the applicant respondent. Petitioner filed a criminal miscellaneous application which was later converted into a writ petition. We are in 2016. Looking to the order challenged in this writ application, in my view, the same has lost its relevance. If the petitioner has any decree of the Court in his favour in respect of the subject land and his possession is threatened, he shall be at liberty to approach the concerned respondent for providing the state protection either with or without
