| The petitioner is apprehending arrest in a case registered | |
| for the offences punishable under Section 3(a) of The Railway | |
| Property (Unlawful Possession) Act,. | |
| 30 bundles of saree worth Rs. 30 lakhs were stolen from | |
| the Itarsi Railway Station, subsequently, they were recovered. | |
| During investigation, it was found that the bundles were carried by | |
| the pickup van of the petitioner. |
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been roped in the present case simply because the vehicle in question was registered in his name which was being driven by the driver. A statement has been made in para 3 of the petition that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent.
