The grievance of the petitioner is that aggrieved by the order directing cancellation of the licence of the petitioner issued under Public Distribution System (Control) Order (for short “ Control Order”), the petitioner has preferred an appeal being Appeal Case No. 86 of 2012 under Clause 15 of the Control Order. The said appeal has not, till date, been disposed of although the provision of law provides for quick disposal thereof.

Learned counsel for the State has submitted that the appeal as per the provisions of the Control Order is required to be disposed of expeditiously.

Regard being had to above, the application is disposed of by directing the Appellate Authority i.e. the respondent Collector, Madhubani to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner being Appeal Case No. 86/2012-13, if not already disposed of, within six weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
