The grievance of the petitioner is that he superannuated from his service on 31.01.2001 and amount of gratuity was paid to him perhaps in the year 2007 but no interest on delayed payment of gratuity in the light of Section 7 (3-A) of Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 was paid to the petitioner.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, this petition stands disposed of with direction to respondent no.

4/concerned respondents to consider the above stated grievance of the petitioner in the light of Section 7 (3-A) of Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 within two months from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order and if the grievance of the petitioner is found proper and genuine, the payment of interest due to delayed payment of gratuity amount must be ensured by the concerned respondents within the above stated period of two months.
