2 08-01-2014 The present application has been filed for quashing of the FIR of Raj Nagar P.S. Case No. 14 of 2010 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A, 406 and 420 of the IPC pending in the court of learned CJM, Madhubani.
The accusation is of torture for non-fulfilment of the dowry demand.
The petitioner denies to have married with the
informant.
Considering the fact that the case was instituted on 29.01.2010 and there is nothing on record to suggest the present stage of the case, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the statutory duty of the police to investigate a cognizable offence.
Accordingly, the application is disposed off with liberty to the petitioner to raise all his contentions at the appropriate stage after conclusion of the investigation.
