The petitioner seeks bail in Complaint Case No. 3249 of 2012 registered for the offence punishable under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code as also Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

It has been contended that the petitioner is the father-in-law and there is no specific allegation against him. It has further been contended that there is no truth behind the allegation of subjecting the complainant to cruelty for nonfulfilment of demand of dowry. The petitioner is said to be in custody since 13^th April, 2014.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail
