7 24-06-2013 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the opposite parties.

This petition has been filed by the petitioner for initiating a proceeding of contempt against the opposite parties for the alleged non-compliance /violation of the specific direction of this Court vide order dated 03.01.2006 passed in C.W.J.C. No. 14423 of 2003 and other analogous cases.

The said writ petition was disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for relaxation of age for appointment on the post of Panchayat Sevak, if the Government takes a decision for appointment on the post of Panchayat Sevak in future. From the materials on record, it is quite apparent that on the basis of the aforesaid order of this Court no person has been appointed on the post of Panchayat Sevak. In the said circumstances there is no case for initiating a proceeding of contempt against the opposite parties.

However, the petitioner will be at liberty to approach the authority concerned for filling up vacancies, if any, such vacancies exist.

With the foresaid observation, this M.J.C. petition is disposed of.
