2 12-11-2013 As per the case of the petitioners, under valid orders of the respondents, they had executed certain works to the satisfaction of the authorities. Thereafter they submitted their bills. The bills were processed and a requisition was made by the Electrical Superintending Engineer to the General Manager through letter no. 641, dated 22.12.2008 for making funds available for payment of the petitioner and some others. However, the grievance is that till today the funds are not made available and the petitioners’ bills to the tune of Rs. 42,170/- and Rs. 42,238/-

have not been paid.

The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.4 to see to it that the funds are made available and the admitted amounts of the bills of the petitioners, as appearing from Annexure 3, are paid to them positively within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, failing which the respondents shall be liable to pay the interest on the amount at the rate of 12 % compoundable annually, which shall be recovered from the salary of the person responsible for delay in the matter.
