2 05-06-2013 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State.
Petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with a case registered for the offence under section 498(A), 376 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code, and 4/6 of the Child Marriage Protection Act. . Petitioner is named in the first information report. From perusal of the first information report it appears that victim girl is about 13 years old and she was forcibly married to one Chandan Singh by Bashistha Singh and his wife Neetu Devi. Allegation against the petitioner is that he also supported the marriage.
It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that Bashistha Singh and Neetu Singh have already been admitted to privilege of bail by this Court under order dated 26.04.2012 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 15356 of 2012 and order dated 15.03.2012 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 7504 of 2012. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that his case is on better footing than Bashistha Singh

and Neetu Devi and similar treatment be allowed to the petitioner.
I regret not to accept such submission in view of the fact that petitioner is involved in the social crime which is required to be dealt with severely . Accordingly, I direct the petitioner to surrender in the court below within four weeks from the date of receipt /production of a copy in the court below and apply for regular bail which should be considered in accordance with law taking into account the order dated 26.04.2012 and 15.03.2012.
The application stands disposed of.
