He further stated that he regained his consciousness at Sadar Hospital, Aurangabad after five days of the alleged occurrence and then he found that there were 7-8 injuries on his person. He further stated that he noticed injuries on his lips, right shoulder, neck, abdomen etc. He further stated that 15 days prior to the alleged occurrence, mother of appellant Krishna Yadav was grazing her she buffalos near his paddy field upon which he forbade her to do so and a quarrel had taken place between them. He stated that for the aforesaid quarrel appellants had assaulted him on the alleged date of occurrence. On being cross examined by the defence, he stated that when he regained his consciousness after three days of the alleged occurrence, he learnt that he was in Aurangabad hospital. He further stated that he regained his consciousness after three days of the alleged occurrence at about 8-9 A.M. He further stated that he disclosed about the alleged occurrence to his family members after four days of the alleged occurrence. Attention of this witness was drawn towards his previous statement recorded by the police in course of investigation and this witness admitted that he had not made statement before the police to this effect that he was reading Ramayan in the light of lantern.
