In this case petitioner is challenging the written report dated 31^st March 2006 filed by the Forest Range Officer, Sonebarsa Raj which led to institution of Misc. Case No.16 of 2006 for the offences 33 and 41 of the Indian Forest Act and Section 5 of the Shaw Mill Act.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that even after six years no charge sheet has been filed by the authority concerned and in consequence thereof, seized articles are lying before the Forest Officer.

At this stage, this Court is not inclined to quash the case. This petition is dismissed. However, it is expected that the concerned authority shall take steps for early filing of charge-sheet in the present case.
