Ms. Mishra, learned Addl. Standing Counsel.
According to Mr. Barik, the petitioner is aggrieved by inaction of the authorities in recovering all dowry articles including gold and silver ornaments from the custody of her in-laws. He further submits that after registration of Tirtol P.S. Case No.75 of 2020, though some dowry articles have been recovered however gold and silver ornaments and other dowry articles have not yet recovered. He further submits though that the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 24.11.2020 before the Superintendent of Police, Jagatsinghpur (opposite party no.3) under Annexure-2 sent through Registered Post, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the Superintendent of Police, Jagatsinghpur to take a decision on the above noted representation within a specific time period.
Considering the submissions made and without

expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Superintendent of Police, Jagatsinghpur (opposite party no.3) to take a decision in accordance with law on the above noted representation under Annexure-2 within a period of 4 (four) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
The CRLMP is accordingly disposed of.
