This matter is taken up through Video Conferencing because of COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. M. Chand, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. M.S. Sahoo, learned Additional Government Advocate for the State are present through virtual mode.
M.S. Sahoo, learned Additional Government Advocate for the State has forwarded the instructions received by the office of the learned Advocate General from the Inspector-InCharge, Dhusuri Police Station, Dhusuri, District- Bhadrak wherein he has informed the learned Advocate General that the victim girl has been rescued and P.S. Case No.175 of 2020 has been turned into one under Section 376(3) of the I.P.C. and Section 4 (2) of the POCSO Act amongst other offences. Statement of the victim girl has been recorded and she has been medically examined. The accused has been arrested. Finally, the victim girl has been handed over to her parents. Now, she is in safe custody of her parents.
In that view of the matter, this WPCRL has become infructuous.
