Heard Mr. Srikanta Mahunta, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S.N. Mishra, learned Additional Government Advocate for the State-opposite parties.
The petitioner in this writ petition has prayed for a direction for early disposal of Mutation Case No.3490 of 2014 stated to be pending before the Tahasildar, Vyasanagar-opposite party no.2.
Mr. Mahunta, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although the matter is otherwise ready for hearing and there is no legal impediment for early disposal of the aforesaid mutation case, the Tahasildar, Vyasanagar-opposite party no.2 is not taking any step for disposal of the same in accordance with law. Hence, he prays for a direction to the Tahasildar, Vyasanagaropposite party no.2 for disposal of the aforesaid mutation case at an early date.
Mr. Mishra, learned Additional Government Advocate for the State, on the other hand, submits that he has no instruction with regard to the status of the mutation case stated to be pending before the Tahasildar, Vyasanagar-opposite party no.2. However, if the aforesaid mutation case is still pending, a direction may be made for early disposal of the same in accordance with law.
Taking into consideration the averments made in the writ petition as well as submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, this Court disposes of the writ petition with a direction that the Tahasildar, Vyasanagar-

opposite party no.2 shall do well to consider and dispose of Mutation Case No.3490 of 2014 stated to be pending before him in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of eight months from the date of production of an authenticated copy of this order downloaded from the website of the Orissa High Court giving opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, if there is no legal impediment.
Authenticated copy of this order downloaded from the website of this Court shall be treated at par with certified copy in the manner prescribed in this Court’s Notice No.4587 dated 25.03.2020.
