The petitioner is the husband of the deceased and the allegations are to the extent that he committed murder of his wife by silting his throat by means of a knife in the presence of their minor daughter on the way to another village.
Having seen the statement made by their minor daughter aged about 8 years, namely, Mamuni and other materials as submitted by the learned Additional Standing Counsel, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
However, it is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he may be permitted to renew his prayer for bail before the learned court below, if occasion so arises, after commencement of trial. The petitioner is granted with such liberty to renew his prayer.
The BLAPL is accordingly dismissed.
